Linda Hassan
Neuropsychologist ( Autism practitioner)

Meet Linda Hassan, a Psychologist at the clinic with an MSc in Forensic Psychology from the University of Roehampton. She is trained and holds qualifications in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) skills, Motivational Interviewing (MI), the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Linda’s academic pursuits have led her to explore the profound and often overlooked impacts of childhood sexual abuse (CSA) in adulthood.

Linda adopts a comprehensive approach to supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, particularly members of the Muslim and BAME communities, by fostering open conversations around culture and mental health. She brings extensive practical experience working with children aged 5–8 and young girls aged 14–16 who face adverse circumstances, behavioural challenges, and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in school and charity-based settings. Additionally, her experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in a PD ward for emotionally unstable Personality Disorders (EUPD) involved delivering group and one-to-one interventions focused on activities of daily living (ADL), helping women aged 18–35 regain confidence and reintegrate into the community.

Linda has volunteered with organisations such as the Iranian Kurdish Women’s Organisation (IKWRO), supporting women aged 25–50 who have experienced honour-based violence, sexual abuse, domestic violence, anxiety, and depression. She also worked closely with Brent Young People Thrive (BYPT), where she served on a panel representing the youth of Brent. Through this role, she contributed insights into new mental health interventions for local schools. The team’s collective efforts received the ‘Pride of Brent’ award in 2019, recognising their commitment to breaking mental health stigma in BAME communities. These varied experiences have provided Linda with invaluable insights into helping individuals with complex mental health needs.
