Aleksandra Truszkowska
Neuropsychologist ( Autism practitioner)

Meet Aleksandra Truszkowska, a Psychologist at the clinic with a BSc in Psychology from Brunel University and an MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from University College London (UCL). She has also completed accredited training in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Over the course of her career, Aleksandra has supported individuals with a variety of mental health needs across multiple settings. She worked as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in a forensic mental health service, focusing on the safety and therapeutic engagement of service users aged 18–25 with diagnoses such as Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD), Eating Disorders, ADHD, ASD, and Drug/Substance Misuse Disorders. She also gained experience as an Assistant Psychologist in an acute mental health service, where she observed and assisted with psychological interventions for clients requiring support for schizophrenia or psychosis, in addition to contributing to data collection for service audits.

Aleksandra’s background includes experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), working with children aged 6 months to pre-school. Through therapeutic play, she supported their physical, sensory, and mental development, helping them build essential skills like self-regulation, problem-solving, and relationship formation. Drawing on this breadth of experience, Aleksandra has developed the ability to foster a sense of security and trust with clients and their families, motivating them to thrive despite the challenges posed by mental health difficulties or neurodiversities.
